1. Click ‘Settings & members’ in the Notion sidebar
Locate this option above the ‘Teamspaces’ section. The ‘Settings & members’ screen is where you can make all changes related to your account, workspaces, and teamspaces.
2. Click ‘Settings’
In the ‘Settings & members’ popup, access the ‘Settings’ tab under the ‘Workspace’ section. This tab is the hub for all workspace related settings.
3. Delete the entire Notion workspace
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the ‘Settings’ screen. You will find the ‘Danger zone’ containing the ‘Delete entire workspace’ button.

4. Confirm deletion of the workspace
Clicking the button triggers another popup window asking for confirmation of deletion. Enter the name of your workspace and click on ‘Permanently delete workspace’.
With this step, your workspace is permanently deleted along with all of its content - it won’t be available even in the Notion archive. You need to be 100% sure before deleting your workspace. Ideally, you should create a backup before deleting it.
After deleting the workspace, you will be redirected to another workspace you are a member of. If you don't belong to any workspace, you will land on the Notion signup page.
How to recover accidentally deleted Notion workspaces?
Deleted workspaces are not available even in the archive folder, so there is no way to retrieve them from your account. Reach out to Notion support with all the information about the workspace. They might be able to help you recover it.
Here’s why you are unable to delete a Notion workspace
1. You are not the workspace admin
Only admins can delete workspaces. If you are not one, you won’t find the option to delete the workspace under the ‘Settings’ tab of the ‘Settings & members’ screen.
2. You are trying to delete the workspace using a mobile app
Your mobile app might display a ‘Delete account’ option under the ‘Settings’ tab, instead of ‘Delete workspace’. Try deleting the workspace on a desktop.
