An all new dashboard, navbar dropdown lists, dark/light toggle, improved site design and more. After a year of work, we are excited to unveil the biggest update to Super yet. In this post we’ll dive deeper into all the new features and share a glimpse into what’s to come next.
The main purpose behind the creation of Super 3.0 is simple: we lacked a cohesive and unifying design system and component library that would allow us to scale efficiently. And although we could have built the design system based on the current 2.0 interface, we took the opportunity to completely redesign the user interface to improve accessibility, navigation and general user experience.
This was a significant overhaul that required a team effort. We had to prioritize this project over other feature requests for a while, but we considered it a worthy sacrifice for the future of Super. This update provides us with a solid foundation upon which we can continue to grow. Most importantly, these updates will allow us to ship new features quicker than ever before, providing you with even more powerful tools to create and manage remarkable websites.

As part of an ongoing effort to become more transparent and connected with our community, we’re also launching a new interactive roadmap so you can have a say on what we work on. More on that later. Next, lets look at each new feature in more detail.
New dashboard design
The most obvious improvement in Super 3.0 is the redesigned app interface. As well as being a visual improvement, it’s an overhaul that will allow us to take Super to the next level. We have rebuilt the entire application using a new design system and component library, resulting in improved structure, organization, accessibility, navigation and overall user experience.
Site design
By default, every site created with Super 3.0 now includes a site design page. This page allows you to customize your website's look and feel without having to first create and add a theme. It is the first step in a journey to bring many more customization options that will give you more control over the appearance of your website, enabling you to create a truly unique design.
In the coming months we will continue expanding on site customization, including more options for customizing fonts, colors, and block-specific styles. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new features!
Navbar dropdown lists
With Super 3.0, you can now add dropdown lists to your site's navbar, allowing for a richer and more organized navigation experience throughout your site. This highly requested feature is one we can't wait for you to try out! We’ll be pairing this with footer lists in an upcoming update.
Light/dark theme toggle
New in 3.0 is the highly requested light/dark toggle button. You can now enable this in your site options to display a button in your navbar, giving users control over the color mode of your site. What’s more, you can customize how the colors appear in both light/dark in your site design color settings.
Buy a domain
Super 3.0 now allows you to purchase domains directly through the platform. This makes it easier for you get your idea off the ground and to manage your website and domain from one central location.
Free domains with Annual subscriptions
Not only can you purchase custom domains, but with Super 3.0 any annual site plans are now eligible to claim a free custom domain on a selection of sponsored TLD’s in partnership with Identity Digital.
Overhauled account page
Super 3.0 has an overhauled account page that makes it easier for you to manage your account settings and preferences. This includes the ability to manage your payment information, view your invoices, and update your personal information.
Updated support page
Super 3.0 launches with a new support page that provides helpful resources and information to troubleshoot issues and get help with your websites. This includes articles and tutorials on website design, development, and management, as well as access to customer support.
New interactive roadmap
The launch of Super 3.0 is a significant milestone for us, as it will enable us to ship updates faster than ever before. We are taking advantage of this opportunity to be more transparent about our current projects and to give our community a voice in what we prioritize next. Our new public roadmap will launch in the coming weeks. We’ll send out a newsletter when it’s ready so you can get involved.
