Does the language change affect the entire Notion workspace?
The Notion language setting is at the account level, meaning the language changes only for the individual, not the entire Notion workspace.
Does the content in Notion pages translate automatically when changing the language?
No. Notion language change is effective only for the user interface, not the user-created page content. The sidebar, page menu, settings, and block options appear in a different language but the existing content stays in the language it was created in.
How to switch to English when Notion language changes automatically?
It can be quite frustrating to see the Notion language change on its own, especially when you can't read the new language. To switch back to English when you can’t read the sidebar text, do this:
1. Click on the fifth sidebar option from the top. It’s the settings menu which also has a wheel icon, aiding identification. This will display the settings popup.
2. Click the fifth option from the top to access the Notion language settings screen.
3. You’ll be able to see the new language listed in there right at the top. Click on the tiny drop-down arrow next to it and select ‘English (US)’.
And that’s it, your Notion account is now available in English.
