Reasons for Notion Spotify embed not working
1. Incorrect URL
If your Spotify embed isn't working, one reason could be an incorrect URL. Check the Spotify track or playlist URL in the embed code for typos, spaces, or missing parts. Spotify URLs have letters and numbers that might look confusing, so copy them accurately. Mistakes can happen when typing, so watch out for swapping letters or mistyping numbers. Also, be careful not to accidentally change the URL with stray key hits.
2. Incorrect embed code
The embed code for Spotify typically includes various parameters in addition to the URL, such as those specifying start times or customization options. If you've made manual edits to the code, particularly while adjusting features like the start time of the music clip, there's a chance that errors may have been introduced.
It's essential to double-check the entire embed code for consistency and accuracy before inserting it into Notion. Ensuring that all modifications, especially those involving parameters like start times, are correctly implemented will help prevent problems with the Spotify embed in Notion.
3. Spotify track privacy
Another factor affecting the functionality of your Notion Spotify embed is the privacy settings of the Spotify track. If the track is set to private or has restricted access, it may not be embeddable.
It's important to confirm that the Spotify track you're trying to embed has the appropriate privacy settings that allow for embedding. Ensure that the track is set to public or has the necessary permissions for embedding to ensure seamless integration with your Notion page.
4. Network issues
Network issues can contribute to problems with your Notion Spotify embed. If your internet connection is slow or unstable, it may hinder the proper embedding of Spotify content. Ensure that you have a stable and reliable internet connection before attempting to embed a Spotify track on Notion.
