Notion tables module does not support adding checkboxes. But Notion table view databases allows adding checkboxes using the ‘Checkbox’ property.
This guide covers the process of adding checkboxes to Notion databases in table and calendar views.

By the end of this section, we will have added a Notion column with checkboxes that students can mark off after submitting relevant assignments.
2. Add checkboxes to the Notion table
Start by creating the column to contain the checkboxes by clicking on the tiny ‘+’ icon on the right side of your Notion table.
Next, look for the ‘Checkbox’ property type in the property types list displayed by Notion.
Clicking ‘Checkbox’ inserts checkboxes into all the active cells in the new column.
3. Use checkboxes
Click the checkboxes to check them.
In our example, the checkboxes against ‘Soccer’, ‘Physics’, and ‘English literature’ are checked, indicating that the user has submitted assignments for those subjects.
How to add checkboxes to a Notion calendar?
We will use the same example as before - the Notion class schedule template - in calendar view for demonstration purposes. As before, we will add checkboxes to track assignment completion.
1. Click the three-dots icon in Notion calendar view
Locate it next to the blue ‘New’ button. Click on ‘Properties’ in the options menu.
2. Create a new property
Click ‘+ New property’ to access the ‘Property types’ view.
3. Select the ‘Checkbox’ property type
You can now see checkboxes added to the calendar view.
4. Start using the checkboxes
Click any checkbox to check it. As shown in the screenshot below, the user has completed assignments for ‘Soccer’, ‘Physics’, and ‘Chemistry’.
How to add multiple checkboxes to a Notion table?
Notion does not support the insertion of multiple checkboxes to Notion tables. However, you can copy and paste this emoji - ✅- which resembles a checked checkbox in a series as an alternative method.
